On Friday, October 2, 2009, the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD), along with the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center (SDCOC) and the Black Contractors Consortium (BCC), will host a Networking and Outreach Event designed to bring San Diego’s top general contractors and builders together with local small and disadvantaged subcontractors.
Attendees will hear an overview of the District’s Propositions S & N construction bond program, meet some of the contractors and builders heading up our CM Multiple Prime projects and learn about upcoming bid opportunities. We’ll also have the teams leading our major mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs on hand. Information will also be provided on workshops and trainings available through the SDCOC to help small businesses improve the ability to do business with government agencies.
The event will be held from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at Mesa College in the center courtyard, and includes a hot breakfast buffet. Event check-in begins at 7 a.m.
Registration and Directions
The event is no-cost, but registration is required. Please register online with the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center (SDCOC). Your registration will be confirmed via email, and you will receive a reminder notice before the event.
Plenty of free campus parking will be available in the “A” and “H” lots. Both lots provide ADA access.
