Scope / Summary

This project consists of building a new 38,930 SF Type V two-story education building. The new building will house classrooms for Culinary Arts, Parenting, Sewing, Arts, Business Information Technology (BIT), English as a Second Language (ESL), and will have space for Distance Learning, Testing, a Career Center Library, and a Bookstore. There will also be a Multi-Purpose Room as well as Administrative Offices.

 

The project is being funded by Proposition S and will be conducted in two phases:   

Phase I- Demolition of existing multipurpose building and other classroom buildings. Relocation of existing utilities, construction of the new building and site improvements south of the building.

Phase II- Demolition of remaining campus buildings and site items, construction of a new parking lot and landscaping improvements. The project is scheduled for completion in late March 2009.
