Scope / Summary
This project consists of land acquisition and building a new two-story building, renovation of an existing building, demolition of the remaining building and construction of a parking lot. The North City facility will house dual Campus of Excellence programs: 1) Multimedia and Innovation and 2) Parenting and Emeriti. The new buildings will house classrooms and other space for Emeriti Program Collaborations, Parenting Education, English as a Second Language, Mesa College credit outreach, Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS), In addition, there will be a Nutritional Demonstration Kitchenette, a Multi-Purpose room, a Technology Center and Library, as well as Administrative Offices.
Design requirements will begin in the second quarter of 2008 on this project with DSA review and approval soon after.
The project will be funded by Proposition S and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2010.
