Scope / Summary
This project consists of a land acquisition and building a new two story building and construction of a two story parking structure. The North City facility will house dual Campus of Excellence programs: 1) Multimedia and Innovation and 2) Parenting and Emeriti. The new building will house classrooms and other space for Emeriti Program Collaborations, Parenting Education, English as a Second Language, Mesa College credit outreach, Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS). In addition there will be a Nutritional Demonstration Kitchenette, a Multi-Purpose room, a Technology Center, a Library, as well as Administrative Offices.
Design requirements began in the second quarter of 2008 on this project. DSA review and approval is anticipated to begin January 2010. The project will be funded by Proposition S and is scheduled for completion by September 2011.
