1143 - Infrastructure Phase I

Scope/Summary

 

This phase of the infrastructure project includes the central plant upgrade. The concept design phase has started and will complete in early 2009 with concept design documents and bridging documents for a design build RFP.

 

As of 12/15/08:  Central Plant Expansion - the project is in the conceptual/research phase.  The design team continues to research and establish the concept design of the Central Plant and the existing franchise utilities. The design team is proceeding with plans to upgrade the Central Plant electrical service to feed the planned new buildings that will become the Arts & Humanities Bldg, the Business Technology Bldg. and the Science Bldg. The design team is working to coordinate utilities planning and relocation for SDG&E services in the Business/humanities Quad.
