Scope/Summary

The T Building renovation will consist of approximately 45,000 sf for the Engineering department including new space for HVAC/Refrig/ECT, Electricity, Electronics, Machine Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, common areas and associated support space. The original Prop N budget for the Engineering Technology building included the construction of a new building, however due to the relocation of current T building programs into new and renovated Prop S & N projects, there is a surplus of vacant space in the T building that will provide sufficient space for the engineering department. By renovating the T Building, rather than building a new Engineering Technology building, the District will be able to reduce and reallocate the Engineering Technology budget.
